How To Get More Snap On Your Backhand

The key to getting distance on your backhand is creating more snap. Basically, it involves three elements.

1) How you grip your disc

2) Generating arm speed.

3) Executing a good run-up.

I found several videos on YouTube that do a pretty decent job of explaining ways to create more snap on your backhand, be that a RHBH (Right Handed Back Hand) or LHBH (Left Handed Back Hand).

The technique used in this video is your basic power grip or as the guy in video likes to refer to it the “pro grip”. Not the best quality but very straight forward and accurate.

When it comes to ANYTHING disc golf, Dave knows what he’s talking about! His resume speaks for itself. This is a PERFECT lesson on backhand grips.

The X-Step has the benefit of putting your body in the proper position to generate maximum power and prevent injury. I’m not trying to tell you this video is of the best quality or that it’s host/instructor? is the best BUT it is a very good breakdown of the process of the X-Step. Watch these pros from Discraft bomb out some drives and drop some good tips.
