Once again, it’s that time of year, Ice Bowl Season! Nearly 25 years ago the first Ice Bowl was held and has since been a way to get disc golfers out in a competitive way and help raise money for many charitable organizations. Showing our local communities that we disc golfers do more than drink beer and huk plastic.
Last year, in over 300 events held, over $225,000 in cash and over 55,000 lbs of food were raised for local food banks and other charities. This was a little under 2009′s goal of $275,000 but impressive none the less. With a major sponsor list of Innova Champion Discs, Gateway Disc Sports, Discraft, Little Flyers, Millennium Discs and Eagle Products (Ice Bowl’s clothing supplier) there is no shortage of killer player packages at each event, from mini’s and towels to custom stamped discs and a variety of clothing.
