Disc-Golf : Tips, Tricks and Pointers to Improve Your Game
I have been a recreational disc-golfer for well over a decade. In that time, I have introduced countless friends and friends of friends to the game. In doing so I have become very familiar with what works and what doesn’t work for new players. By making countless mistakes and spending MANY rounds fixing those mistakes, as well as seeing others do the same, I have quite a bit of experience. I hope to use this blog to help others avoid these pitfalls before they step onto their local course or even better yet, before they spend one red dime on an increasingly overwhelming selection of plastic on the market. I have had a long time “love affair” with this game since the first time I heard my disc rattle the chains and I believe that you will as well.
Now if you already love disc-golf, have played for years or could out throw me in your sleep, I propose that not only could you possibly gleen a tidbit of info that saves you some strokes on your game, you could also help add to newer players enjoyment and understanding of this wonderful sport by including your own experience to the mix. I am always welcome to all input and believe everyone has at least some valuable knowledge that could increase everyone’s enjoyment of the fast growing sport in America. Please feel free to chime in.
At this moment, I am outlining the best way to organize my lessons and tips to have newbies throwing par or better as fast as possible and also the rest of us becoming more competitive, with less likelihood for injury. I have begun by hunting down my favorite disc golf videos from the web and compiling them into useful categories and thus, making them easier to find. I also have a page on the backhand that breaks it down into easy steps. In the near future look for more lessons on different aspects of disc golf and also a forum to further simplify and expand discussion. That all being said, I would like to thank you very much for taking the time to visit (and possibly partitcipating in the discussion, such as Motodom.com). Stay tuned for new posts.
